looking for psychiatrist in Phoenix area
Recently my son got a neuropsych evaluation at the request of the FAA as part of his application. Thankfully, the evaluation determined he had no psych conditions at all. Next, the FAA sent a letter asking for him to get a psychiatrist evaluation reviewing his previous conditions from childhood. Anyone have a recommendation for the Phoenix area? Thanks!

Generally the AME who is walking you through the medical application process is a good choice to go to for a referral. If you're in the phoenix area and doing your medical application with the assistance of an aviation medical examiner there, start with that AME.
If you're going off letters received from Oklahoma City and not working with an AME, I'd strongly suggest getting with an AME who can guide you through the process, rather than doing it on your own.
You might consider Burr Ross (myflightsurgeon.com); the premise of their office is helping people through the application process (or it used to be). He's got offices in Paradise valley and Phoenix. Note that he's a pulmonary specialist and AME, not a psychiatrist. He may be able to refer you to an appropriate party.

Here's the answer to my own question- Dr. Gwen Levitt is a HIMS psychiatrist who was very good. She is level-headed and friendly, and in my opinion, provided an accurate assessment of my son. She even saw him on a federal holiday so he didn't have to miss school, which was really appreciated. The FAA accepted her assessment and approved our son to fly since she didn't find anything wrong with him.
Hope this helps someone else out there.
