AME in AUS/SAT?
My good AME, Dr. James Armstrong, sadly passed away earlier this year.
I'm looking for a new AME in AUS who can issue a first class medical. Willing to drive up to an hour and a half in any direction for a doctor who is reputable and reasonable.

Discovered this as well this week. Sad...
Dr Richard Hecker took over his practice, but I haven’t heard anything on him, hopefully some SAT peeps have gouge on him.
I have done a physical with Dr Davenport (@ austinaero.space). He’s good - just too far away for me right now since he’s not coming to SAT anymore.
He’s at Bergstrom and is a F-16 pilot/ physician in the guard. I recommend him.
Please post anything you hear about good ones in SAT if you remember.

Good AME in New Braunfels
I went to Dr Armstrong as well, he will be missed. On the recommendation of multiple AF bros, I went to see Dr Jay Gruhlkey at Lonestar Medical in New Braunfels. He is excellent and I highly recommend him.
