Thumbs up Virtual Flight Surgeon

I had a medical issue two years ago where I neglected to disclose a prescription drug during my annual medical with the FAA Flight Surgeon. When the Regional Flight Surgeon discovered this, they called in FAA Security and things went to Hell... and I mean fast.

Fortunately, my Union (NATCA) had contracted with the Virtual Flight Surgeon to assist with this and other medical issues. I called the 800 number, left a message, and Dr. Quay Snyder called me back within 10 minutes.

Over the next few months, Dr. Snyder spent spent several hours on the phone with me guiding me through the process to correct this error and smooth things over with the FAA Regional Flight Surgeon. He was my voice when anything needed to be written or discussed with the FAA Flight Surgeon.

I feel certain that Dr. Quay Snyder and the good folks who work for the Virtual Flight Surgeon saved my career.

No... I have no financial interests nor personal connections to these folks.

How or why did the Regional Flight Surgeon find out about your prescription drugs?

I will also provide an unsolicited endorsement for VFS. They help keep minor things minor.
