Colour Blindness
I tried to pass medical test for 1st class. Everrything was good untill I didnt pass eye doctor, cause didn t see Ishihara Test for Color Blindness. I didn t knew that, and I was very nervous. The doctor said to forget about this job. But after a week of training I started to see part of this test. Can this be from nervs or eyes? And what can I do? Please help.

That doctor sounds like he didn't know much about what he was talking about...unless we are not getting the whole story. There is more than one kind of color vision test. if you go to FAA: Home you can look up all the acceptable color vision tests, I want to say there is about 10 acceptable ones but I don't remember off the top of my head. If for some reason you don't pass those, you can get the first class medical with a restriction imposed on it. To remove the restriction, you can go to the local Flight Standards District Office and apply for a Statement Of Demonstrated Ability (SODA). If you pass this test (which used to be just identifying a tri-color light gun from the tower, but I believe that has changed) you get the restriction removed and a letter saying that you are found competent and never have to take another color vision test for a medical.
It sounds like you just might be color deficient or color weak. I am color weak too, I just found a different test that I could pass. The FAA website is the best place to start looking for these answers.

I have the same exact problem as you do. Trust me, there is hope. Wildflyin explained what i pretty much had to go through. What happened with me was I let my AME know firsthand that I had a problem. He gave me the test and i failed it seeing like 3 of the slides I was shown. He then gave me the number of the Southern Region Aerospace Medicine Division (cant remember the number for the life of me, i guess it varies based on where you live). The people then draft up a letter saying they approve you for the conuction of an SLT (signal light test) followed by an MFT (medical flight test). Then you contact your local FSDO (flight standards district office) and begin the process of taking these tests.
I passed the SLT with flying colors, but have had numerous scheduling problems with my medical flight test. I'll let you know what happens there. The way it was described to me, you are taken up in an aircraft and are asked to read the various instruments and identify types of terrain pointing out which one you would land on in an emergency. Sounds like I'll have no troubles, and im sure you should be alright too.
For complete detail about this, read FSIMS Document Viewer. It's the form I was given and is very insightful to your type of issue. Good luck, and let me know how it goes!
