Default Cholesterol drugs

Any one have any experience getting a first class medical while taking cholesterol meds? I'm not taking one - yet - but the wife is worried.

I have been taking a simvastatin generic for at least a dozen years with no issues and report it on my medical ap each time.

Thumbs up

Don't worry... have been taking cholesterol meds for years.
My AME put me on them several years ago when I was flying for him.
Just passed my 1st class again, no issues.
Best of luck...

Not a problem, give people the go ahead with them all the time (my group has a few MD80 drivers as patients. Strange, they are all AA MD80.)

In fact, you're more likely to be at risk of failing if you have uncontrolled lipids and aren't taking the drug...
