I've never heard that one - that could be a problem if it's true. Getting popped for having a cheeseburger loaded with jalapenos (Mmmmmmm, jalapeno cheeseburger......) would really suck.

I purchased a fairly expensive personal breathalizer and made a couple of interesting observations:
If you use mouthwash and blow immediately you will blow off of the scale, wait 10 minuets and you will blow 0.00 because the alcohol was in your mouth and not your bloodstream. That makes it HIGHLY unlikley that you could blow anything arriving at the airport if you only used mouthwash at the hotel.
Although the body metabolizes alcohol at the same rate regardless of the source, 3 beers will dissipate faster than 3 glasses of wine and the wine will dissipate faster than 3 hard drinks simply because of the alcohol in each.
