I recommend that you tell them about the voices in your head and about how your friends are all out to get you. Be sure to tell them about your prior drug and alcohol problems also. If that doesn't work at the flight academy, it should work for the US Air Force ... Good Luck.

WOW, grade school insults will really impress the psychologist. Use as many of those as you can and you are sure to pass.

Just tell the truth if you are a reasonably normal person. If you are a weirdo (you know if you are) then you are gonna (your words) lie. You better be good at lying however because the shrink will catch you.

Domy,

You can't prep for a psych test.

However, since you seem bent on it... Consider who you're applying to when you answer the questions.

For example, one psych test has the question: "Would you rather hit your thumb with a hammer, or throw up on a crowded bus?" Now, if you're applying to the Navy, the right answer is "hit your thumb with a hammer" because the rule in the Navy is "better dead than look bad". On the other hand, if you're applying to the Air Force, the correct answer is "throw up on a crowded bus" because in the AF, pain is to be avoided at all costs. Besides, AF pilots aren't allowed access to hand tools.

But really... your time would be far better spent learning to read and write the English language. It's pretty much a universal requirement for pilot jobs.

Regards,
-Frater

Thanks Frater much appreciated, am trying to improve

a friend of mine told me body language does highly affect the overall rating, like the one shouldnt move his hands alot or the way he sit?
is that true? does it really count ?

Most airlines I am familliar with use a computer graded exam for psyc. Body Language should not matter in such a case.

Try to Google MMPI, it stands for Massachusets Multiphasic Psychometric Inventory. They have one specifically for Pilots. Many airlines use this test or one similar. It is sometimes backed up by an interview with a Doctor, but this gets expensive for the airline, so it is rarely done.

The MMPI is a few hundred multiple choice questions. They are repeated and asked in such a way to try to trick you up to test for honesty, consistency, etc. As previous posters have said, not possible to practice for such a thing.

Good luck

Domy,

Are you by chance using one of those on line "English translation" sites? The sentence structure of your post looks a little like it. Aside from that it's normal to have questions about the psyche tests, and really you can't study for them. Just think and respond, and don't say anything stupid!
