Default special issuance 1st class and getting hired

Hi,
Suffice it to say I have a serious medical condition that has grounded me for at least three years. At the end of the three years, I will be able to get a special issuance 1st class. The question is: when I go to apply for a job in three years, will employers write me off due to this? Anybody w/ some personal experience with this have any insight? Thanks!

I have a 1st Class with an SI and was hired by my current employer with no issues. YMMV
