If Endeavor didn’t call you back within a week it means there was some mistake. Call them and they’ll schedule you for an interview. I’m conpletely serious.

Default Where in ATL will you be living?

I ask this because one of my new-hire classmates lived in ATL (former Express Jet) and was based in TYS. She used DL to commute between ATL-TYS and could easily drive if necessary.

I believe she's at DL now and stayed in TYS her entire time at PSA.

I'm interested in PSA and have an interview coming up this month, but I have a few questions for those that work there on what they think of my situation, and what they might do.

My fiancee and I are moving out east and currently planning on living in Atlanta, so I'm aiming for the Charlotte base. Does anyone commute this currently? How is it? With the SAP program at PSA, would I be able to make this commute pretty easy? With the SAP program I could just attempt to bid trips that don't leave extremely early in the morning, so that I wouldn't have to travel up the night before? What about as a new-hire (with very high seniority)? I suppose I could drive to Charlotte if I absolutely needed to, occasionally. The commuter hotel allowance is nice and would be something I too would use if I have a very early morning show and have to commute up the night before, or would people advise just getting a crash pad until I get enough seniority to hold a line? How would you sit reserve in this situation?

I really don't want to commute but I'm hoping that commute wouldn't be too bad. I would live in Charlotte but my fiancee's work is much better in Atlanta. I also have an interview with SkyWest, that has an Atlanta base, but being that they don't offer any form of a flow agreement to any airline, I think PSA is the wiser choice - unless there is something I'm missing from the SkyWest side? The Atlanta base is attractive but I also wonder how long it will be there, since SkyWest is a primarily west coast carrier.

I apologize for the basic questions, but I'm presently in the 135 world and haven't ever been on the 121 side.
If you haven't moved east yet why not look at living in Charlotte? Its a great city and even if you're based somewhere other than here there is plenty of service (usually on PSA) to any of our crew bases. I commute and have for a year. When I was CVG based you had to get creative to maximize your time at home because the commute often was either 2 legs or in the middle of the night on a cargo carrier (DHL/FedEx). In about a year when you have the seniority to hold a Rd1 line in CLT commuting is cake with the SAP. Even on Rd2 in CLT commuting was never really terrible from where I live.

Hi guys, similar situation here. RTP type living an hour North of Atlanta. I'm about a 2.5 hour drive from TYS. I'm not sure exactly how the reserves work and I know everyone says to avoid commuting if possible for best QOL (Endeavor and Expressjet aren't really options for me right now). Could I actually sit reserve from home if I went PSA and eventually got TYS? I know that short call wouldn't be an option, but I don't know how reserve periods work in general. Are they a mix of long call and short call?

Short call at TYS is definitely not something where you could sit at home if you're 2.5 hours away, since there is a 1-hour call-out. Long call is currently limited to 10% of the total reserve lines (Or something like that), which means about 3-4 long call lines in TYS. Yes, LCR is way more commutable (12-hour call-out). In TYS You would probably get LCR for a single month unless you bid that instead of an R2 (BU) line, if you see it at all.

As others have said, the forecast for reserve times has them staying pretty low for FOs, as long as the company keeps adding pilots and airplanes.
