Default Two idiot questions

1 - Does it make any difference at all if I apply via pilotcredentials profile import or the PSA site? Is either preferable?

B) - If I care nothing about which jet, upgrade time, luggage, or hat....does PSA work for someone who needs CLT to make the commute the best and get hours?

It’s kinda down to who can get me to ATL or CLT and some hours. Everything else is inconsequential.

(Well....and maybe a decent schedule. But I have no 121 experience so I don’t even know how to define that)

At PSA you will be trained on 3 variants of the CRJ and could expect to fly all 3 different aircraft at any given time.

FWIW, I applied to the RTP via the PSA website and notified a recruiter I had done so. Really quick turnaround on interview invite email. If you want to work out of CLT, PSA is a good fit. But it may take a few months to get CLT.

Thanks for the replies, folks.

CLT is pretty much the draw for PSA, which is a strong one. I’m going to shoot for an interview and then make a call on the best guess chance to get there at that time. Pretty much PSA for CLT or SKW for ATL. We’ll see what looks best!

I don’t understand why people are still choosing SkyWest.

Just curious why you would go to SkyWest for their sub par pay rates when you could go to Endeavor if you want ATL...?

Well, I can get to ATL by going to SKW.

I’ll apply at EDV as well, but that puts me unemployed until probably....May? Maybe June by the time I interview? Then get to ATL in another 6-10 months?

SKW isn’t my first choice for current pay nor schedule, but a bad schedule in ATL is better than being stuck in NYC. Better pay is true, but the difference in pay is more than cancelled by sleeping somewhere indoors in a place like NY. No, thanks.

PSA is on the list as well, but it’s starting to sound like CLT with them is becoming akin to getting ATL with EDV.

We’ll see what they all look like post interview and who offers what training dates. Maybe everyone being in pay negotiations right now works out, who knows.

SkyWest would certainly not be my first option for ATL. You’re leaving A LOT of money and upward career movement by not going to Endeavor if ATL is a goal of yours.

Sleeping indoors is overrated.

Getting CLT has not been an issue and it usually happens 1-2 months out of training. Holding a line will, of course, be a longer wait than at our more junior bases.
