Pay in full less than a year, between year 1 and 2 it begins to be pro-rated.

I'd assume that bonus is paid after completion of IOE?

Default IOE Delays

I just finished 700/900 IOE last Wednesday. Was told by crew scheduling to call in next week because there were backlogs with 200 IOE. Said not many check airman bidding the 200. Anybody have more than a week delay lately?

I’m in the 700 sims right now and had just under three weeks off after my oral. It was nice to have the time off but stay in the books. I’d also look ahead at the profiles for go arounds, V1 cuts, single engine approaches, and stall recoveries. Stall recovery isn’t written like a procedure in the POH but the call outs are similar to a balked landing (max thrust, check spoilers, etc). It comes fast and heavy in the sims and now you’re actually flying the thing so the more you have those calls in your brain ahead of time, the better off you’ll be. Bouncing a ball or something to distract you while you say the calls out loud helps to commit it to the brain. Also keep proficient on the FMS tracking inbound and outbound on radials.

The only thing I’d add to the pay question is if they send you home for a break, you don’t get per diem for those days. You only get it the days your at training so it will go down just to the 75 hours at about 38 bucks while you’re at the house. Also, some people in my class got their bonuses before they left Dayton. I talked to the finance department and they are just behind in processing the bonuses so it takes some time for others. I still haven’t gotten mine. Good luck!

I am HN Jan2 we had 2 weeks off between systems ground, and IPT observations. I heard that there are some getting 4 weeks before IPT observation now. I had my oral 3 days after my EOC (last Monday) and I am scheduled to go to SIM on Monday next week (a week between DAEnd and start in CLT). Some (about 2/3s of my class) are starting around the 26th. Kind of sucks I was planning to do some traveling with that paid vacation, but oh well if I go too long without working I will get lazy. Worst case you would have 4 weeks between Grounf and IPT and 3 weeks between Oral and Sim, so paid vacation to build 1.5 months of seniority.

If you haven't read the agreement, quit before a year's up and repay in full.
