It depends on the school you are at.

How does that play a factor at all?

buddies8 10-10-2020 08:52 AM

The deal you would have. Not all are the same

Different schools have different LOAs that were negotiated and signed with the company.

None of us have flight benefits. Piedmont's cadets do, but PSA cadets do not have flight benefits at any school

That’s the way it should be. The fact that people who have contributed nothing to the airline are bumping furloughed pilots off of flights is pretty ridiculous.

That’s not true. Certain cadets have benefits.

I mean, I don't know what else there is to say. Certain cadets have benefits. I know a few of them from who have them, but I don't know what level of cadet they are.

Unlike Envoy cadets, they don't get paid hundreds of dollars per month even if they don't work.

Which group or category of cadets have benefits? Which ones do not? That is the crux of my question, not a just a general statement.

Cadet instructors who are working under the specific LOA that was agreed upon between the school and company. Not all schools have the same LOA.

I believe the cadet ambassadors do as well. I can’t seem to find how to post a pic from my phone, but I have a screenshot of the announcement of cadet ambassadors, saying they get travel benefits, $350 per month, a polo, and referral bonuses.

ZeroTT 10-21-2020 05:18 AM

Is the polo cotton or tech fabric?

Yes an ambassador regardless of what LOA their school has, does get that.

I was wondering that myself. I'm assuming it's tech to put your best foot forward, but we will have to wait to get the real answer.

Is the cadet program worth it?

-I was reading through this thread and it was all over the place. The last response was from 2020 and I am looking for more recent responses on the program.
-I was looking into the Republics cadet program and looking into PSAs. Is it worth applying for PSAs? Also, I do not have my CFI and I am not going to get it.
-Is this statement true from the PSAs website "$30,000 Cadet Package inclusive of training and tuition assistance, including the First Officer Sign-On bonus"?

Need to be working towards CFI to be apart of PSA’s program.

Cadet Program Benefits?

I completed my HR interview with PSA and I am now a PSA Cadet. I also applied to Envoy's Cadet program a while ago but I have not heard anything back yet and I assume it's due to all of the direct entry captains and experienced 121 FOs making the leap. One thing that stood out about the Envoy Cadet program was that they provide benefits and flight privileges as well as the first group to pick assignments in your new hire class. Is this the same for PSA's Cadet Program? The website is kinda scarce with details.
