PSA Updates
Trying to start a new thread about PSA. Junior bases, reserve times, are they able to fill classes etc.
I'd like to keep the flaming out, and keep this thread an adult one. |
Haha trying is a good word.
TYS and DAY is junior compared to CLT. Shouldn't take more than 6 months on reserve. Some guys are getting build up lines a month or two out of training but it's all timing plus we're coming up on our slow season. As far as I know, most classes are quite full. A class every two weeks is the norm. |
How many does a full class make?

How do the mainline guys treat you? I remember jumpseating with an eagle/envoy guy in the FD. The A321 guys were really commending him and his pilot group on the backbone they were showing. Just curious if mainline AA or even Cactus has shown there own towards express? I was shocked that they actually cared about the feeders.
|
I'm not sure on AA side but half the guys on Airways don't even know or care who PSA is except the ones who used to fly for the original PSA. They're just very nice and professional to any jumpseaters. They have a real job with real pay and doesn't bicker online like many of us. The ones that are in the know sympathize with us since they've had to deal with Parker for the last ten years as well. Remember the yellow lanyards? Safety first.
I hope that Envoy pilot you were jumpseating with at least got a recommendation from the AA pilots. Otherwise it's just useless words to keep the time flying in the FD. |
A mainline jump seater asked the other day, "so, what airline are you?" I think some guys are in the loop while others arent. I have been treated well while jump seating

PSA Updates
2.5 year upgrade and dropping

PSA Updates
2-3 after IOE to hold a line in CLT
|
The people that are not living under a rock know that the PSA pilot group has undercut the pilots at there own holding company. Some might be more vocal about hating you than others, but trust me, the informed ones despise your pilot group for collectively "lowering the bar." Good luck with 2 year upgrades and your interview. You wouldn't get the pass if I was on the CA's board.
|
Does PSA plan to open a new domiciles?
|
How does everyone like TYS, or DAY In terms of city living? A lot to do, good night life etc? I wouldn't mind CLT, but living in Dayton Ohio doesn't sound too fun IMO.

The class that started last week was apparently 34. Not sure if it was all pilots or some dispatchers/sim instructors.

Just tell mainline that you belong to the pilot group that voted in a TA and stabbed the back of every other regional pilot group out there, and are digging the knife in deeper to the Envoy guys. If that doesn't trigger it, say spineless, pukes, yes voters; any of the above and he'll immediately know you're PoSA.

PSA will have to open new bases at some point. PHL, ORD and DFW are good possibilities.

I guess asking to keep this thread on an adult level was obviously asking too much.

You mean as a base or just in general flying select lines? |
I'll go PHL as I have heard numerous times that PSA is going to have a large operation out of there in the not so distant future. Other then that its anyone's guess as to where they may set up shop.

Has anyone interviewed recently that can give an updated gouge or any advice for the interview? How long after you submit your application will they call you to interview?

I may be p-ssing in the wind, but I will now be calling my APA reps and supporting a movement that PSA be blocked from any flow thru agreement to AA.
Yes, Parker will ask me to pay for it, and yes, I will be willing to pay for it. What's next? "Ahhhh, hell. You're a good buddy, I know you and your wife were fightin', but I banged her anyway" Later |

Scab central
Go chase the upgrade kids |
Am I missing something? Is there a new definition of "scab"? A definition would be great.

The old definition of Scab is worthless these days since ALPA allowed an atrocity like the RLA to come to fruition.
The notion lives on though: a scab is someone who does not stay united with his unions cause for personal gain. PSA proved they are scabs, or at least have scab mentality. They will pay. Not just in jumpseats, but in career progression. The people they screwed will get ahead of them. Speak to any APA member these days and the buzz on them is strong. There is nothing the APA hates more than a scab. So get mad on here and spit back at the pilots standing up for the industry: it just proves how selfish and childish you are - All traits the mainlines will look to avoid. |
