I hope that the 1500 hour rule stays in place, but it won't be hard to repeal it.

All it will take is for service to be disrupted to a few key cities for a week or two. Stop service from DC right before the house and senate go on a break and blame it on pilot staffing. Poof. The rule will be changed.

Dec 7th - 17 FO's, 1 Sim Instructor
Dec 21st - No class (Christmas break)
Jan 4th - 14 FOs
Jan 18th - Supposedly 5, but just a rumor at this point. Not on list yet

It won't be. The flying is just shifting back to mainline and the 50 seaters will be the first ones out.

This more than likely if the future. Thus the move towards 190s etc on mainline property as a lower payscale...

Easy to have fewer overall workers and more seats available than the other way around.

Good Riddance to the 50 seaters, passengers hate them, pilots hate them.

But I fear that at least a few of them will linger around until the very very end.

Last rumor I heard was next January all but the 11 (i think ) owned 200s will be parked. So, the leased aircraft go bye bye. But thats a year from now.

Man PSA has very quickly become a millpond, you know, similar to what the Titanic sank in.
