PSA and Endeavor
Before I start, I know this is gonna start a nice argument.
Granted I'm just really getting started in training, got my private pilot license just recently. I know PSA are the scums to a lot of people and Endeavor's new hiring program isn't fair to the people who have been there. Realistically I won't be at the airlines for another 2 years and I know a lot will change. As far as my question relating to PSA goes, are there a lot of PSA pilots getting denied jump seat privileges? My cousin just started with Republic and told me of how one of his coworkers got asked if he worked for PSA. Since he said no he was allowed to jump seat. I can't remember the exact words, but basically if you worked for PSA you wouldn't have been able to jump seat on this guys plane. Also relating to Endeavor, I know there has been a lot of talk already. But realistically does anyone see the Endeavor ETD program actually working. It's intriguing to a new guy, while working to be poor definitely is not. Looking forward to reading the arguments as well as the few thoughtful posts, take care and happy flying. :cool: |

Good luck getting hired in two years when you've just gotten your private! Come back then and it'll be a different world.

As long as we continue to shrink and downgrade while only hiring around 50% in the pref. interviews with Delta this place will not be a place to come. The staffing model currently is park CRJ-200's to staff CRJ-900's. The only question to be answered is; what happens when we run out of 200's next spring/summer?

I doubt they would be stapled. Delta could easily say they haven't met the requirements of the program, since they would not have upgraded.

I would bet my career they would not be stapled, you would be extremely lucky to be put in a pool and offered class once meeting the same terms at a different carrier, or at least current hiring minims.

Delta doesn't seem to me like a company with no plan. The EtD program was implemented by Delta for Delta. The success or failure relies on metrics that Delta will set and then measure. The pilots who post here are not privy to these metrics and are not privy to Delta's plan. Every pilot out there thinks they are an expert when it comes to the airline business. I can assure you this isn't the case. Delta has a long term plan for Endeavor and the EtD program and as such, we must wait much longer to determine its success or failure.
