Regionals suck, we all know it.
Mainline sucks, but a mainline day is better than any regional day, we all know it. Management sucks, will get rich on the backs of employees, we all know it. For the past 10 years everyone that has entered this industry knows, it sucks, it will continue to suck, until everyone bands together. PDT and PSA took steps back, ExJet and Envoy are floundering, and AirWisk, Skywest, Mesa, and Republic (forgot a couple) are just living one nightmare at a time! |

I just puked in my mouth watching that garbage. PSA pilots are undercutting dirtbags...enough said. Their actions have cost me and my family tens of thousands of dollars (probably hundreds of thousands in future earnings) so I'm sorry if it's not something easily let go. It is something I, and my fellow envoy pilots, will remember for the rest of our airline careers.

I would not describe my job at Mesa as a nightmare, in fact I feel a little spoiled by certain things. You go leave aviation, go to the greener pastures... You'll see, a non aviation job can be far worse than a career in aviation.
My time outside of aviation was a real life nightmare. None of you know jack **** just how bad it can be, especially if your starting at entry level. You better have a skill in demand, and you better be good at it if you want to walk away from aviation. Those who ***** about their airline career know nothing else! |

I would bet that 75% of those who are captains at the commuters, if they got furloughed, wouldn't be earning half of what they are making now several years later. Some will. Some will probably do better. But a large percentage sit on their butts and don't know a hard days work if it jumped up and bit them in the ass. Most would go right back into aviation. Me included. Because it's still a decent way to make a living. The regionals suck. Leave ASAP. Don't make it a career destination. They aren't. Mainlines really are that much better. |

This should be a lesson to everyone. You don't get a college degree in aviation, get one in a field that has real world teeth such as Information Technology or Engineering. That way when the inevetable furlough, ch13 liquidation, loss of medical etc.. comes along, and it will at some point, you can actually do something that matters in the real world.
Or marry someone with one of those degrees... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Yes indeed....and hold off on the kids, unless you really want to go that route...no thanks. |
