I would also like this information. I'm pretty sure with the ATP reg change you can no-longer use an expired ATP, is this correct? I completed the ATP written prior to the change, but It is now expired.

Thanks

The only reason I question it is because on ATP Flight School's page they list that "A recent waiver from the FAA also allows those who have completed an Airline’s approved SIC Training program to use their expired score report when taking the ATP Practical test concurrently with Second-In-Command checkride at that Airline." https://atpflightschool.com/faqs/expired_test_use.html . It may be outdated.

Thanks!

Anyone willing to further expound upon their recent ATP/CTP experience with PSA (either in the thread or as a PM)?

Is there an HR component, logbook check, etc?

Is the program all done in-house (is it owned by PSA, or contracted to another company)?

Does someone from the FAA certify you right there at the training, or does it become official later on?

Thanks!

It's all in house. CTP is offered in CVG and will also be CLT in the next few weeks. I don't know what an HR component would look like. Your log books need to be accurate. It becomes official when you pass your ATP/Type ride with an APD (company FAA rep) at the end of the simulator portion of the new hire program.

We don't issue SIC types anymore. You'll get the full PIC type. ATP flight school is a different ball game entirely from 121 training programs. I think that means that if you have an SIC type previously that the CTP course can be waived.

I think you are correct. The recruiters and interviewer should able to give you the right answer. It stands to reason that you cannot use an expired written. I remember there was a big push of guys getting their writtens in before this was made so.

health insurance

To current single FO's: How much is the Plan A and Plan B for single plan per month or paycheck? They sent me the 2014 rates lol, not too useful. If you guys know the 2017 rates with vision please let me know that, if not 2016 is fine. Thanks

Plan B is around $66 per check. Vision is like $2-3 per check.

Anyone know what the current rates are for family health insurance a month or paycheck? Are paychecks bi-weekly or per month? Do you only get the commuting allowance if you actually stay at a hotel or is it given regardless? I'm driving to the PSA interview, does anyone know if there is public parking at the training center or will I need to park at airport and catch the shuttle?

Interview prep question.
I read on airline prep for PSA about knowing a 10-9. What exactly is a 10-9? I've done some research and can't seem to find much. Forgive me if this is something I should know, but I this is the first time I've heard the term.

Thanks in advance.

10-9 is the airport diagram in the Jeppesen charts. It also has takeoff minimums and runway information on the back.

Pay careful attention to the takeoff weather minimums. A common scenario question is, "so the weather is reporting _____X_____ and ____x____, can you depart?
