AA effectively does not hire outside the flow at the wholly owneds, and the same is true of Delta with Endeavor. Flow is irrelevant.

5 non-flow PSA folks started class at AA two weeks ago. It’s not as unheard of as you’d think.

How many leveraged offers at other airlines to get the AA interview?

2 of them I know didn’t leverage any offers.

Good on em! Hopefully that trend continues.

I flew with multiple pilots who mentioned going to AA or knowing someone who was, but said that it wasn't by getting the call without... convincing them. Heck, one of them said they basically gave the cold shoulder at WAI the second they found out who they worked for. Took a Delta offer to hear back from them.

‘Yeah, see it’s games like that that turns off me off about AA. I mentioned in another thread. IF AA want to act like that, then I have no desire to work for a company like that….

That's exactly what happened to my neighbor at the job fair. Now he has a Delta interview in about 3 weeks. He and his wife currently rent a house in CLT and they'd like to stay, that's the main reason he wants to leverage the Delta offer if he gets one.

Incredible. Go work for someone that's interested in you coming there.

I'll be commuting to any of their bases. so base is not a big factor for me yet, I'm planning on commuting for 6 months (end of my current lease) and then I'll be probably moving to base.

my head is divided:
ENDEAVOR: best pay but I hear if you get the CRJ-200 is a death sentence.
ENVOY: nice pay good bonus but I really don't want the ERJ145, bases are the best
PSA: Gets ready of the CRJ-200 or ERJ145 problem, but I hear they are over staff, and bases are not great,

So any objective advice will be help full.

Envoy is parking their 145’s - they already have flights scheduled to the desert

Envoy is getting rid of all the E145's by years end and perhaps even as early as October. A few weeks ago, I would have suggested that you skip Envoy, but considering that we are now finally getting paid for long sits, lost days and airport standby at least that is an improvement. As an FO you can expect to be on reserve for 3-4 months as of right now, but that may change. Miami, will have some of the best flying of the bases followed by Dallas just because of the quantity.
