Where do you carry your credentials?
New to the 121 world.
Just curious how/where different folks carry their license, medical, FCC cert and passport. I will be jumpseating on a regular basis so (in theory) will need to be digging out my license and medical to have available for the captain. I will also likely be going to Mexico and/or Canada, so will need to have my passport handy as well. I have always just kept my license and medical in my wallet, but never needed to readily access them on a continual basis and never carried my FCC license or passport. Passport isn't exactly the most convenient thing to tuck away. I would like a common place to keep everything and don't want to go off and leave something. Thanks |
I paper clipped my FCC license to my passport. Medical and license are in my wallet on my person. Passport is kept in my carry on bag that goes under the seat in front of me.

I use a waterproof ID holder.
WITZ WATERPROOF SEE IT SAFE | Waterproof Cases and Protective Cases for Canon Cameras, iPhones, and ID's Carries everything except the passport, which goes in my shirt pocket. |
I use a fanny pack and wear it all the time, even when sleeping and showering (but I don't sleep and shower at the same time in case that's what you were envisioning).

Um, okay, this is painful but...
Why in the hell do you think you need to carry your FCC license? (Do they still issue those?!?!) Carry your medical in your wallet, like you always do, and your passport stays in your crew flight bag, for U.S. customs. I never ask for a passport. That's what the gate and CASS are for. I just want to see a valid company ID. (If you're JS'ing on the bid D, all bets are off.) Offline, you should probably carry your passport, but what do I know? |

I keep my documents in my wife's panties.
Secure. Even I have trouble accessing them. |
R/T endorsement is required under ICAO and if you are ramp checked overseas the Inspector will ask for it.
U.S. Airman Certificates don't include the R/T endorsement and also they only state "English Proficient." The latter means you possess Level 4 proficiency which according to ICAO guidelines must be renewed every 4 years. Additionally, U.S. certificates have no expiration dates and there is no way of proving that you are current on the aircraft you are flying by looking at of your certificate. So if you fly internationally it will be a good idea to have the FCC license and your proficiency details (sim check form, line check details etc). |
I carry a passport wallet in my pocket. It has slots for cards where I put my FCC etc. Another pocket with my medical inside of it. I keep it with me ever since I left it in my flight bag when I was trying to JS home. Makes it easy to get when going through global entry!

Passport, FCC license, and medical all sit in my EFB sleeve in the front pouch. Pilots license sits with my drivers license in my wallet.

This Passport wallet allows me to keep all my docs aside from my company ID together. |
I have a tiny wallet that I keep my licenses, medical and FCC permit in. I keep that wallet in my flight kit next to my passport. If I have that little wallet, I have everything I need.

Not bothering with proficiency details. Do you also carry around your logbooks to prove that you've done 3 landings within the last 90 days?

Oh...gosh. Imagine that, pilots put their docs exactly where you'd expect. Who are you, that idiot Don Lemon from CNN? No story here homie.

Do you just rely on your other pilot to be carrying his when you get an international trip? |

Your shop may be different, but I would double check your FOM/GOM to make certain. |

Sealable ID Holder | Stop-Over Store
Everything I need is in here except passport. There is a dull side and a shinier side. Put your known crew member card on the shinier side so it will scan properly at TSA. I noticed with mine if you put it on the duller side it won't scan and you have to take it out. On the other side I just put my airline ID. Everything else in the middle. |

I'm wrong, I popped off and I stuffed both feet in my mouth. The FCC license has never been a thing here. The company has it on file, but I've never carried it. I've never been asked for it, even in Mexico and Canada. Maybe I should start digging, it's at home, somewhere. Still looking for an FOM reference too. Carry on. |

Did the FAA remove the requirement to carry your cert? Every time I've ever had a fed or LCA in the JS they ask to see my cert and medical. |
I've been using this for about 6 months now. Love it.

Assorted loose change for tipping van driver ¢50 in right sock |
I keep mine in this holder. Nobody is stealing my cert, medical, or FCC license from me. Makes things a little awkward when I have a line check or fed in the js but it's worth it to have the peace of mind.

https://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NTAwWDQwO...UY7Vm/$_58.JPG I was trying to figure out a way to sew pockets in my "manzeer". Now I don't have to!! |
I carry my company ID and cert in a plastic holder. As those are the most common asked items for jumpseating. My medical, FCC, and ATP cert #2 fit into a pocket in my passport holder. My CFI and UAS cert stay in my wallet.
Before you ask, yes I have two ATP cert cards. I have a R-ATP and it takes up two cards for all the limitations & restrictions. I might have three when my replacement comes with my new type. |

I tattooed my credentials on my chest. Chicks dig it and guys respect it. The pain is when I have to change the date on my medical.
