I can tell you that if you get in the pool and get a class right away, you will get the jet. We are fixin' to be overstuffed on the Saab soon. This last vacancy shows 100+ furloughs recalled to SF3 F/O. Not all of them will come back, but you can see that the Saab is pretty well covered for the short term.

Well first off you never stated that you had a college degree, and in reality that means nothing anymore.

RJ85FO, I'd take your word over the above gouger's any day, but are a lot of the current SF34 FO guys looking to go to the crj as FOs? The statement above makes a good point. I've got a March 22nd interview date, and if offered a job would rather have the jet. I've read the posts and know that vacancy determines your equipment, just wondering if the exodus of SF34 FOs to the crj [if, in fact there is one] would effect the equip assignments for the next few new hire classes.
The CA upgrade is through the SAAB. Get the jet to tell your buddies but upgrade will be through the SAAB. Don't come here 'ONLY' if you get the jet. That thinking is ridiculous. Come here because of the crew you will be flying with and growth opportunities. It's a great group of people. |

The first CRJ vacancy had 10 F/O spots. According to the revised award, 5 spots were filled by current Saab F/O's. 5 were filled by returning furloughs. You stand just as good of a chance getting the CRJ as you do the Saab. Either way, F/O pay is the same regardless of equipment. |

Mesaba pays you your 75-hour guarantee from day one of training. Single occupancy hotel is also paid for those who live greater than 50 (I think) miles from the training center in Eagan, MN. The contact is the same with the exception of our TA which has modified pay, insurance, added PBS and changed how CDO's are handled as well as some other things. 3 year equipment lock for new hires. You will bid your base in training. You will pay 50% of your uniform cost, payroll deducted over 6 months.
I am happy to answer specific questions, just post them. what kind of sim are they using now for the interview? I have an interview invitation and looking forward to it.............. |

I have an interview invitation and looking forward to it.............. HINT: Most important interview item - ATTITUDE :) :) RJ85FO or XJPILOT1: Correct me if I'm wrong. |
I agree with spy guy, have a good attitude. Be honest, talk about how you recovered from mistakes, how you learned and enhanced your job/life because of it. Know your AIM and basic instrument knowledge. We're not lookin for the next chuck yeager. Just the guy/gal who is safe, has a good attitude and who you WANT to talk w/ on the crewbus after a long 4 day. There is a culture of safety here, that we will protect.
Don't sweat the sim. Basic situational awareness, ILS, Holding steep turns, keep the shiny side up. Practice any ILS and hold don't concentrate on gouge material. Do the basics. You will do fine. Good luck to all. |

Good luck to all. I'll third the Attitude. We ARE different then your average pilot bunch. That's what I was looking for when I was regional hunting. I really wanted to be flying with these guys. "There is a culture of safety here, that we will protect." You bet we will! Good Luck! |
[quote=RJ85FO;130518] Once all the CRJ's are delivered (Dec. 2008) . . . quote]
What if ? That takes care of the first 36. What are the latest rumors about the next 96 they have options on ? If deliveries continued after Dec 2008, it might make for fast upgrade times and lots more hiring. :) :cool: |

Good Luck! Attitude in the interview is VERY important. Part of that is honesty and humility. |
