DEN, SLC, and COS are junior RJ basses as well, and there are people who are bidding ORD and haven't been able to get it yet. Also consider that ATL could very easily be a large RJ base soon as well. It isn't yet, but our flying there continues to get bigger.

hahaha,,, and asa gets smaller and smaller......

My pinnacle story: I live in DTW, I was hired in Summer of 05, was bidding 190 in DTW and was #1190 in the company. Less than 2 years later I am bidding in the 60 to 70s range in DTW, and I am in the 800s in seniority. Things move quick here, and they wont be slowing down any time soon. Living in base is great. I don't know if could stand the commute here, but I love it in base. A lot of our trips end at 8pm and are not commutable. If you like the highspeed continous duty overnight flights living in base is good as well, I usually golf during the day and work at night.
Our pay sucks right now, but I really think the contract will be done in 2007.
PM me if you have any questions.

Pinnacle FO-

Thanks for the info. I am unable to PM you just yet because I do not have my 25 posts on the forum yet.

I spoke with two CAs today (one for NWA and the other Spirit). One told me to go for Pinnacle the other told me SKW. After discussing things with my wife. We decided to apply with all three (9E, SKW, RAH) and take each interview. Then after taking everything in, decide.

Personally, I think Pinnacle is my leading choice followed by SKW. I really like the idea of living in DTW. Like you I golf and I live on a golf course that is free to residents. Flying for Pinnacle may improve my game.

Either way any additional info you can provide about Pinnacle would most definitely be appreciated.

some more info about pinnacle... like pinnacle fo said things are moving fast here. the latest vacancy had cpt upgrades with seniority in the 800's. i have been here a year and a half and would be very close upgrade in the next vacancy. The contract isn't the greatest, but it isn't the worse. and like i said before we wont take anything less than an excellent contract. pinnacle is growing, we almost have all the planes back from northwest, with some future flying in the works. so all in all i like it here. I live in mem, i usually bid for trips where i go in around 12, and get done 1st leg in. I have 2 4 day trips, and 2 three day trips and 2 high speeds (mem style 8:02 rest). i enjoy flying with this pilot group, good guys and gals.

If I were in your shoes, knowing what I know now, you are probably best off at Pinnacle if you get the job. Heres why. First off, Skywest and Republic are good places to work, but they are going through some massive growing pains as well right now. At all 3 places you arent going to sit reserve long, you will probably upgrade fast, and you will fly a lot of hours. Skywest and republic pay more and they have some better work rules (for the time being), but factor in the commuting cost for a crash pad, especially if you get a base like ORD, and the time spent away from base commuting, living in base 10 mins away from the airport is priceless. Prepare for all three, do as much research as you can, and good luck. Hope to see you on the line. Detroit is a very friendly base with some good people.

I'm starting class in Memphis on Monday. Very excited to start my 121 career. The people at Pinnacle seemed to very great people. I noticed a lot of them going out of their way to help people and make us interviewing feel comfortable. One of the ladies gave me a ride to the airport so I wouldn't miss my plane.

Yeah, you will probably get a class date on the day you interview. Besides, anyone leaving Mesa for any of the airlines being discussed here is a no brainer.

How much experience do new hires have at Pinnacle? I am currently a CFI in Michigan and would love to get an airline job based out of DTW. Any one got any tips on getting on with them
