Chances are it will read like a romance novel- you'll be crying a few chapters in.

Yeah I might. Just want to know how bad it really is.

After you take a Ornstein instead of just flushing it right away, look at it. Thats the Mesa contract.

Here it is...in all its glory!

Notice all the times "at company discretion" and "to the extent possible" are used.

Also, the seniority list at the end notes the original Freedom "A"-listers (with "FDM" next to their name)

It is going to get interesting when Mesa's contract negotiations get SERIOUS! Lots of people sound ****ed. I wonder if pilots will settle for anything less than a top notch contract. I wonder how many Mesa pilots are truly ready to "burn it down!" Will there be a strike? Scabs? What does JO have up his sleeve? Will Mesa management agree to a top notch contract?

It's gonna be interesting.

Nobody can strike anymore it seems with this work stoppage blocking by BK judges...

XtremeF150 03-08-2007 08:09 PM

We might not be able to strike but I can dang sure cause daily problems with EXTREMELY small write ups at the most inconvienent times. Sick calls placed on just the right days. If you add up the small things with the fact that MOST of the pilot group supports doing. We can cause a number of intentional delays and hit JO where it hurts. Is this hurting the company as well, sure but doesn't a strike do the same. If it costs us a code share or two then so be it. Sometimes you have to destroy something so that new growth may form.

Key word in that sentence is "Bankruptcy". Mesa ain't bankrupt, so strike away (it's still difficult but you wouldn't have to jump that hurdle). Although JO may be the first CEO in history to put his company into BK to prevent a strike...

You mean writing things up because they are not mechanically sound...or calling in sick because you do not meet the terms of your medical. Anything else could be construed as "illegal work action." You're just talking about doing your job very very very well.
