Terrible, they will be obsolved by June...

They're fine, if you can still win RFP's then you're doing just fine.

Unfortunately, the only answers you are going to get are based purely on opinion. No one knows what will happen, or how unsucessful or sucessful the branded flying will be. For now we still have 205 airplanes making guaranteed money from Continental flying, but CAL can opt to remove 25% of that from the fleet in 2009. As far as the branded flying, well who knows? Many will say that it will fail miserably because we all saw what happened to Independence. But this is a totally different product built on a completely different concept. The only similarity is that we are using 50 seat jets. My main point is that none of us have a crystal ball, because if we did we would probably all be sitting on $10 million boats in St. Maarten drinking with our supermodels.;)

What!!! I thought that was the life of an airline pilot. Hahahaha

ryane946 03-11-2007 01:22 PM

How long is Continental's contract with Chataqua??

ImperialxRat 03-11-2007 05:32 PM

Super models are not too thin you crazy guys. Think of Adriana Lima (sp)....Victoria Secret model??

ToiletDuck 03-11-2007 06:05 PM

The hottest women ever weren't super thin. Pam An, Carmen, Angelina, Jennifer Anniston, Jessica Simpson, ect. I probaly screwed up a name or two. But thin is not "in" in my book.

The dude 03-11-2007 06:36 PM

There's a big difference between "thin" and "disgustingly anorexic and bony"...... "thin" women who are in shape and have a nice round ass are what raise my blood pressure.

Example: That Nicole Richie chick = nasty, like a grandma vs. Jessica Alba....mmmmmmm

4N1flyr 03-11-2007 07:18 PM

Back to the topic, even if it is speculative and probably won't have any significance in a week. You guys are starting to sound like a bunch of... well, pilots :D

ImperialxRat 03-11-2007 10:35 PM

I want to throw another comment about the super models, so I'll also comment on XJT to prevent thread hijacking!

I previously had my sights set on SKW...good company, good growth, descent regional pay after first year, ok domiciles...

But lately (the past week), i've really been conflicting myself by researching XJT more and more. I dont have any prior 121 exp, so i'm not sure how difficult that would make it for me to get a job there...

What do ya guys think? is LAX/ONT very senior?...because thats where I would want to be based.

And to the girls...Jessica Simpson, Jessica Alba, both extremely hot. I consider them thin, in shape, etc etc.

When ya said thin before, I didnt realize you met those anorexic skeletons walking around...that really is gross. Like the Olson twins...icky.

-Imp

p.s. - Nicole Richie is gross.

ONT would be very easy to get as a new hire. LAX isnt far behind that. Good luck with your decisions.

ImperialxRat 03-12-2007 08:01 AM

Yeah, I hate making these kinds of decisions. Is it pretty junior as a CA as well?

Talking with crews on my commute, apparently CO is finally starting to realize that CHQ was a mistake. Larry "the Forehead" Kellner has already had to meet with the board several times to discuss shortcomings in the service.

.... that's what happens when you put a bean counter in charge. IMHO, and a few pilots at CO, he should be sent down to the basement to play with his calculators instead. :D

Bro.............beers on me for the rest of your life, that might be the funniest thing I have ever read...............classic bortha, classic

johnso29 03-12-2007 05:15 PM

Kellner reminds of Opie, fat faced b?!*ard.

duvie 03-13-2007 03:02 PM

He's not Bethune, but he was one of Gordo's right hand men. I can't imagine Gordon Bethune would let all his hard work be destroyed. Larry has made some questionable moves but I as you can see CAL is doing just fine.

newarkblows 03-13-2007 04:36 PM

yeah CO is realizing their mistake... $44,000 in one outstation in hotel rooms, restitution for bumping passengers, and bookings on other airlines as a result of their operations. they weight restricted one flight into the mid-30's because of weather. Not all the blame of this goes onto chitaqua... why put a crj on a route you should have known cant handle it? well then you ask yourself why bid on it? And now xjt is running the ground crews for a couple of their outstations because those were separate contracts. Chitaqua didn't take those fees into account or perhaps continental didnt.... so xjet is still getting paid for its services. if you go into any outstation and talk with rampers, gate workers, managers... they all say the situation sucks. Its a shame to because people dont know the diffeence between Chitaqua and express all they know is "continental express sucks! the booted 20 people off of my flight then cancelled the next flight for maintenance"

JoeyMeatballs 03-13-2007 04:41 PM

very true, I hate to blame CHQ guys, I mean especially since they had nothing at all to do with getting the flying, but you have to realize that they never planned on Jimbo telling Larry to go ******* Himself and keep the Airplanes....................
