Well I called and left Ms. Banister a voicemail yesterday so she email a confirmation on it today. I have yet to receive anything in the mail. I was looking at it and unfortunatly it's a GoJets ticket. However at least they aren't getting paid for it. I vowed never to pay for a GoJets ticket and today let me slide on that one.

Take the flight on GJ, and you'll never get the job. :p |

No doubt that of the three flight control surfaces, the rudder is least used when hand-flying the airplane. But let's not be too quick to discount the rudder's importance in the manner that you did. You'll likely live to regret that idea. |
haha come on guys you know what i mean. i forget that things get taken very literally on this board.
of course you use the rudders on takeoff and landing thats given. i meant in any other phase of flight. thats what yaw dampers are for. it was a "technique" to correct for oscillations or wake turbies with a little bit of rudder until that AA airbus tail came off. if you guys choose to fly around with your feet on the rudders be my guest, my feet are staying off until short final incidentally mcdonnell douglas engineers disabled the rudder pedals on the c-17 when the autopilot is on... you can crank on them all you want and they wont do anything |
For you Republic folks that might be trolling...
Well, I couldn't take it anymore. I've been out of the game for 1 1/2 years now, but I am regretting getting out. Long story short, I flew 121 for about 8 years (two different companies) with no upgrade and have massive FO time, but I feel I’m well qualified time wise (6000+ hours and 3000+ jet, most 135/121 time and 135 PIC time) for ANOTHER regional job. I got out and now want back in. <Awaiting skyhigh comments here>
Now, I submitted an app to Republic after everyone I know told me how they are hurting for pilots and that I would be a shoe in for an interview. I guess they were wrong, because I received the thanks but no thanks letter, and I am just wondering why. Am I over qualified, been out of flying for too long (again 1 1/2 years), or am I missing something? Now I don't expect to walk into the job, but I figured I'd at least get a call for an interview. I guess my best bet now is to renew my CFI in order to help with the lack of recent flying and cross my fingers like everyone else. Any thoughts? Any current Republic pilots or anyone "in the know", your input would be greatly appreciated as I am thoroughly puzzled. |
are you current? that may be the issue. they are currently so short that bedford put out a memo of three possibilities; one of which is cancelling vacations.

If you're really at UPS and previously worked at Eagle, how do you know so much about republic?

her hubby works there
