When someone recently posted about busting the TFR, and if it ruined his chances, blah blah, I posted my story there, but removed it, since it wasn't really relevant to his post.
However, I am curious...
I busted the presidential TFR last summer, down near Waco TX. I debriefed with secret service and the FAA, and they sent me on my merry way. I filled out the NASA incident/hazard form, and I never heard back from Grey approach or whatever theyre called down there (the FAA said that they're the ones who pursue the violations and that they usually only pursue about half of them because of how busy they are).
So my question is...is this on my record somewhere? When I go to interview, should I be honest about it? I had about 400-500 hours at the time, and it was my fault completely, and a learning experience...
So I guess should I just tell the story as it is when asked "have you ever busted a reg" or whatever they ask?
p.s. - I'm very grateful and lucky I didn't get violated with a broom handle.
