Default What are the chances?

That MESA pilots will actually stand up for themselves this year and force the company to agree on a better contract.?

Hell I dont work for MESA but I'd be willing to walk with these guys if they went on strike <puts on flame suit>

If mgmt screws the pilots this time around, the company will fold. With the trend in the regionals right now, ie. HR departments not being able to find enough pilots and offering bait (hiring bonuses n such), they will have no choice but to have a more competitive contract. The only people stupid enough to work there would be these 200 hour wonder kids.

I have faith the pilots will pull it off. If not, they will probably all quit

I would say the chances are about as good as your understanding of the Railway Labor Act.

It will be YEARS before the Mesa pilots are in a position to take the one action that would bring things to a head - a strike - and right before the strike Mesa will declare bankruptcy, have the courts block the strike, force a new contract via the courts and then continue on.
