Airlinepilotcentral.com claims 400 in 2007, is this still accurate?

Current numbers actual/forecast for 2007 as of 3/20 per crew planning folks:
Jan: 80 (actual)
Feb: 80 (actual)
Mar: 48 (actual as of 3/19) 80 Projected
April: 80
May: 80
June: 80
July: 0
Aug: 0
Sept: 0
Oct: 0
Nov: 0
Dec: 0
TOTAL Projected 2007: 480

They specifically said that the zero's for 2nd half of the year is what this looked like last year. In 2006 we brought on almost 600 pilots, (100 of which were in december 2006). The numbers for june/july will likely come when more future is known. I'd expect close to 700 or more pilots when its all said and done. Just to cover attrition we need likely 30/mo. Lots of potential for more....

Currently 274 aircraft
205 Continental
15 Charter (4 currently working for Jetblue)
44 Branded (starts april 2 www.xjet.com)
10 For Delta in LAX (June 1 start up)

Lots of excitement and changes going on here.... Training is staying busy and upgrades are still holding AT 2 years. Good luck.

Congrats on the job. I got a couple hundred more to go. I would really like to work at XJET and go back south.

I hear that. I had an ATP, 2500 hrs, 1300 multi turbine, and it was like pulling teeth to get an interview here. I'm happy I'm here now, but the hiring process is totally FUBAR.
