Commuting is the only downfall I see with Pinnacle. But it is the same downfall anywhere you go. If you live in Boston, being based at home is like working part time for the same pay as a full timer. But you have to weigh all the positives and negatives and see what is right for you.

I interviewed at five regionals. I did not get the first job I interviewed for (thank god since it is probably the least respected of all the regionals). But I was offered a job at the next four. If you do not have a job. Apply everywhere, take some interviews for practice and accept the first job you get.

Once you get through training, start applying to the 2 or 3 jobs you really want. The fact that you made it through training almost guarantees you will get hired everywhere else. Take each interview and sit back at home with your family and decide which one is right for you after each has offered you a job.

Like I said, I did not get my first job, due to lack of interview experience primarily. I took my next position as a Beech driver. Did that for a while than interviewed at 3 places. I was offered a job at all three, and this allowed me too sit back with my family and decide where the best place for me was.

Overall, everyone has their opinions, but I would rank Pinnacle, RAH, and SKW as the three best options out there if your goal is to get the majors quick, with a reasonable QOL.

Thanks for the insight Islandhopper. Im really on the fence, I can pretty much go anywhere, no hard ties anywhere. I like the idea of upgrade in 2 years at Pinnacle, but Boston's my home....Pay is also important, and the upgrade helps in that area. Decisions, Decisions....

I commuted for a while and didn't like, so I am starting with Eagle on Mon being based in BOS, where I live, will be worth it. I know exactly what you mean about being on the fence. I was in the same position and in the end I chose the QOL. Upgrades are definitly important but, I am 22, I don't need to upgrade tommorow so I am going try not worry about it. FWIW on my interview they said upgrades will come down to 3yrs for the jet. Not sure I buy the story or not but, it gave you a nice warm fuzzy feeling:D

CAUTION! You were just told something by management! Dont let them pull wool over your eyes... lol

Just a few words of caution:

1. There is a strong argument to not commute if you can avoid it, no matter what the airline.
2. Upgrade times are hard to predict.
3. Pinnacle upgrade is fast only if you are high time. It you get hired with low times you will be in the right seat for a number of years until you get to 3000 hours (assuming the upgrade minimums don't change). So the Pinnacle upgrade may end up being close to the Eagle upgrade in this case. How many hours do you have?

HAHA yeah I know really.

Go to Eagle. I have a friend at Pinnacle and things are not so great over there. Eagle is a more stable company. Don't worry about a fast upgrade because you won't be going to the majors for a while anyway. Go with QOL or you will hate yourself.
