Default Republic a good choice?

So I have an interview with Republic next month and although I’m excited I get the feeling they’re doing everything in their power to get me to walk in through the door. I’ve always been on the fence about them but they have such a good contract and pay that I decided to apply and also with another regional. is republic a solid company now after chapter 11? are they going to stick around for a while and continue to offer all this cash and QOL or are they setting themselves up for failure ?? I know prior to the BK republic was not a good place to be and most ppl hated it but now it seems like it is the complete opposite. I’m just on the fence because usually when something sounds too good to be true.....well you know.

Republic is going to be a power house in the coming years. They’re not going anywhere.

More airplanes are coming and we fly a very much in demand airplane at good metrics. We’ll be around.

Also someone else can explain but the bankruptcy was not a “we’re in trouble” situation, it was a “we don’t want 145s anymore” situation.

I left RAH, but it’s a great company and great group of pilots. Many lifers that got passed over and are staying for the long run. I left because I didn’t see a future coming out of it. It felt like a dead end to me, albeit a really nice one.

Default Very professional thread.

Gentleman,

Very well done. A person asked for advice, and you gave them facts,
and your personal experiences.

After seeing all of the crazy posts on forums , this was very nice.

That is all...

What are the growth plans for Republic? I understand ORD is a small base -- to OP's point, ORD would take forever to upgrade (currently 10+ years), but if there are expansion plans in the work, ORD could be a great option.

Ya I know ORD is the senior base at republic and that’s why I’m also interviewing with Skywest since that’s a jr base for them.

Ya unfortunately ord is pretty senior but things seem to move fast on the fo side. The IAH base will shake up ord and Ewr so I imagine that will help ord.
