Good regional for southeast commuting

Hope you all don't mind, I usually research for my own data, but I am attending the sun n fun event next week and short on time. Transitioning from military with zero 121 time.

I live in the Destin/Ft Walton Beach area and wanted to know which regional would offer good commuting opportunities.

Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

Check the destin airport site for daily flights. You will see a trend to hub airports. Then look through regionals to find a match.

Also look at Pensacola and other airports. Pns services Houston, Dallas, Atlanta,Miami, Charlotte, and dc multiple times per day.

Endeavor or ExpressJet for the Atlanta base.

Skywest has a very junior ATL base that’s supposed to grow.

I am a former military pilot with little over 3K total time, turboprop (MC-130) and turbojet (C-21) time, 737 ATP, all fixed wing, but have not flown in little over two years. Have a degree too.

PSA Airlines in CLT or Endeavor in ATL.

I would not consider anything other than VPS to ATL. Seven flights a day all on mainline. It also looks like you could hold commutable trips easily at some point based on the flight times. SkyWest, Endeavor and Mesa. Your choice but I wouldn’t consider the third. Also on a sidenote Endeavor is supposedly backed up until sometime in the fall so depending on your timeframe it could affect you. You probably won’t be at the regionals very long with those credentials and the 737 type rating you could be looking at Southwest very quickly. Don’t forget if you wait for endeavor you will have a higher boarding priority on those delta flights because of their wholly-owned status.

Pretty sure Allegiant has a domicile in FLL and you could probably get on there with your resume.
