Pinnacle interview

I emailed my resume to cunningham earlier today and received an email back that only had my cover letter and recommendation letter on it, but I seen that it was carbon copied to two other people within Pinnacle? What does this mean? Thanks in advance.

She only cc'd my resume to one other person, so you're one up on me. Who knows what it all means. I just hope I'll get a call. Pinnacle is definitely on my short list.

I was only CC to one person as well. I had an attachment that stated they had received my resume and it was being reviewed. This is something new b/c I have sent resumes to them in the past and never got any kind of reply.

Don't worry...there is such a shortage everywhere, that if you can breathe you will get an interview. Then it is up to you. Personality comes before talent at 9E. They just want to make sure they can fly with you for a couple of weeks and not worry about being brought up on murder charges.

Also, the emails they send to you can be confusing sometimes. Cynthia does not go and delete old info and it seems if you have Hotmail it comes back to you in 20 different fonts. Just call her. She is really nice and I guarantee you if you receive any email with a CC...she wants to interview you.

Has anyone gotten an interview at Pinnacle without the ATP written?

cessna126 04-12-2007 10:43 PM

I had the ATP written when I took the interview. This was back in September though. It was the worst interview. Study questions that you think they would never ask. And study questions that you will never use and you will be fine.

Seems like you did not get the job offer at Pinnacle and had to go to Comair...............

Roper92 04-13-2007 07:41 AM

So they want you to have an ATP written completed before they will call you for an interview it seems. Then they give you a 50 question written test during the interview with questions from the ATP written? Looks like you better get that interview shortly after you take the test before that rote memorization starts fading away..

If you are not smart enough to go to aviationinterviews.com and get the exact questions asked you should not get the job. The test has not changed in a long time, and each question is in there.

Roper92 04-13-2007 08:37 PM

Well I guess I better grow some brains and check out that website. Wait, I already did. I was just wondering if the questions were exactly the same as the ones on the ATP written.

cessna126 04-13-2007 08:46 PM

The questions are not the same as on the written. Some of the questions also seem like they have more than 1 answer. Just think about how they want you to answer it. When I took the interview at Pinnacle, Comair wasnt hiring. Not getting the job was probably good. The people and atmosphere at Comair is so much better. Comair has their problems like everyone else, but at least the people are nice

Roper92 04-14-2007 02:03 PM

I know this post belongs in another forum, but since I have your attention Cessna126 and cannot send PMs..

Where are the new FOs getting based out of?
Is the MCO base shrinking?

cessna126 04-14-2007 02:32 PM

New FO's get placed into JFK. However most have been able to bid back out. MCO is shrinking, but some MCO FO's are upgrading. Some people have gotten awarded MCO and only have to stay in JFK for a few months.

I got an email response back this afternoon with an invitation to interview on April 24th.

crjjetjockey 04-16-2007 06:49 PM

I just interviewed with pinnacle last week, and i must say that they people that i met were some of the most friendly people i have met at most other airlines. Pinnacle may have some problems but if you look through these forums very few people ever complain about the pilot group. And i am really looking forward to joining that group.

I got the same email this morning. Actually had my choice of the 24th or 25th as interview dates. Both were for a class date of 4/30. I'll be interviewing on the 25th.

How much time do you guys have?

Crucero 04-16-2007 07:48 PM

I hope I get a response soon also.
I sent my resume 4/12 and the next day got a response with a copy of my resume and a CC to Mbright. (I think it's Michelle).
It's only been 3 business days so I know it's early for me.

Do they fly you out there positive space? (I'm @ LAX)
800/110

shamrok 04-16-2007 07:55 PM

Just curious here, why does it seem most new hires at comair dont want to be based @ JFK? Thats the one base I would hope to be based at. I would commute from PVD since I live in RI. Just wondering if there is something I should know about JFK........Thanks

Positive space. Once you have all your paper work done, just email them where you will be flying from.

Nothings BAD about it.....Most people dont want to live in NYC on a first year FO salary......I am from that area so I WANTED JFK and was a huge reason for choosing Comair...When I told the interviewers that, they were shocked, but very happy! They also said the majority of people commute.

I updated my AirlineApps last wednesday or thursday and I got an invite last friday with possible interview dates.

Sent a response later that day (I assume after they left for the weekend) and got a confirmation monday morning.

Kbalch,

You're interviewing on the 25th with PNCL or Comair?

Did you send your reply email with the date you chose and your contact information yet? If so how long did it take to get a reply back?

Yes, I sent it back late afternoon yesterday. I haven't heard from them yet with travel info. I'm spending tomorrow doing my ATP written, so I'll plan to call HR on Thursday morning if I haven't received word by then.

Where are the new hires at Pinnacle getting based? If not MEM, how long to get MEM? How long to hold a line in MEM?

Out of the three friends of mine that have been hired over the past year all of them got MEM. One did go to DTW in order to get a line faster.

1forflying 04-17-2007 06:07 PM

So far everyone I know received Memphis if they wanted it (Detroit too). Only 4 people in my class (which started March 12) were able to get MSP. All the others got their second choice.

FLINHI 04-18-2007 05:35 PM

Can someone who has interviewed with Pinnacle tell me if the questions in the study guide located at Aviation Interviews website are current or not. There are about 100 of them typed up in a Word doc and I hear it is a 50 question written, so I wasn't sure how valid it was. It seems to have good questions in it though. Thanks

That's what I studied, in addition to the Gleim ATP Test Prep software, 121 regs, and the legend and introduction sections of the Jepps. Worked for me.

And IIRC, only one guy in the most recent class got MEM. Everyone else got DTW. Nobody got MSP.

Did you trust all the answers that were put on there. I have found some to be wrong and of course not all have answers.

GDLBEN33 04-19-2007 07:11 PM

I just got hired by Pinnacle and all I can say is to practice the HR questions. They ask a lot of scenerio stuff (drunk capt). The captain interviewing me said they just added that part of the interview. I was asked 5 different questions like, what was your worst flying expierence? Have you ever broken a FAR? What makes you stand out from other pilots? Capt. refuses to go missed after reaching DA and no runway, what would you do? One guy that interviewed before was let go after the HR part because he took too long to answer and never gave firm answers. It was a long interview process. I arrived at 8am and didn't leave untill 4pm. They really were nice folks, they like guys with personalities, stay relaxed and smile a lot.

UpFront 04-19-2007 07:51 PM

Did you interview in JAX the other day??? I did
