You were able to get a job flying, there must have been a shortage of some sort.

Why don't you just resume patting yourself on the back for shorting Pinnacle.
Yes, shyguy appears to be a cocky fella, but still, he presented a good convo on that pncl thread.

Things were pretty crazy in 07 when I was in college...classes were clearing out with 250 hour wonder pilots leaving in droves. The flight instructors at the airport were literally almost all gone, and the ones left had interviews or already put in two weeks. Bottom rung shortage though, I am sure the majors didn't notice a shortage of apps. Not by a long shot.

True, but how many in that bunch are on furlough?

Smoke and mirrors.

I am pretty sure each one furloughed (that I knew personally/through the grapevine) has been recalled, and recalled for over a year. The ones that hit the front of that wave upgraded in little over ONE year. So yeah, that cohort did OK for some not having done any flying jobs prior to 121. And I don't know how one would count instructing for less than one month...I knew of SEVERAL of those types.

Oh great..one of those "I've got more time in reverse thrust than you do total time" guys. News flash Gramps: a majority of the people entering the 121 world these days were born in the 80's. Problem?
