Agreed, TPIC is king! I know several guys at FDX that had only 1900D time when they got hired.
Bottom line: All turboprops are cool and each has a specific discipline where it excels or fits the given market. Your job decision should be an individual weighted average of upgrade time and QOL. And if you want to work for Jet Blew, you have problems way more urgent than which turboprop to choose. |

How about both?
Start in the 1900, upgrade in that, then transition to the SF. Then get out. That plan worked for me. |
amen to that plan. HEy short bus, I heard LC got hired on over at spirit! Good for him! I know he was dying to finally get out of CJC.

But he told me he wants to "explore" other places in our system, so...? Back to the thread, the 1900 is a GREAT machine! The SF is cool, but a PIG if you're heavy.(Pax or ice):( |

The D models do have a FD though.
The 1900 is a good bird, and echoing a previous poster, you gotta decide what you want, in terms of upgrade, pay, lifestyle, base, etc...don't just decide by which plane you think is the "coolest." Good luck. |
