Ok, so what's the rest of the story? Previous 121 time? Military? Prior stint at OO? There's no way that's a CFI who showed up last June with 1,000 hours total time.

I think the argument he’s making is that anyone with 1000 hours of 121 time can upgrade. No waiting around.

At OO you can get 1000 121 as quick as humanly possible if you’re trying

I've done a fair amount of research between SkyWest and Republic. It seems to me like Republic wins in QOL, but SkyWest wins in fast upgrades, and PIC time. What is more important, QOL or PIC? Which airline is superior?
Just like..... Alien vs Predator Curly vs Shemp Riddle vs Hamburger University Latex vs Sheepskins Yeesh........ |

Hahaha, is that right? Tell that to some of the Endeavour / PSA / Envoy / PDT / AW guys flying as low as 20 hours a month on reserve.

For a lot of guys coming straight from instructing and no part 121, just because you CAN upgrade at 1000 hours or 12 months etc, doesn’t always mean you should or that you will be ready. It will take you about a year before you are completely comfortable with the airplane and almost another year to start thinking like a Captain and feel confident enough to ‘run the show’. YX has had almost 50% failure rate for upgrades last fall because people weren’t ready. Don’t make the jump until you feel 100% confident. |

This 100%! That’s why I think the forced upgrades at Envoy and PSA should be illegal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
