Are you a current pilot or former at SKW. At the moment DL has been padding the block an insane ammount, A friend of mine was awarded 90 block and 79 credit. I really dont see how people think this is ok. Now if he overblocks to 90 he will not get the overtime because he was not awarded over 87 credit. By the way if it is a VFR day you probably are not going to get close to the marketing block. Combine this with the new latency push and having to wait until you get a push clearance to block out and we are taking it in the shorts on credit right now. (credit or better costs me about 3-5 hours a month, or about a 5% pay cut over industry standard)

So there is this thing called bid transparency at Skywest that allows you to look at what everyone in every base was awarded. You either misunderstood your friend, he is the worst bidder in the world, or you are just making stuff up. I skimmed through the bids in both CA and FO MSP and DTW for March and I saw like 3 lines that had more block than credit, and we are talking like 1-2 hours. Actually, most awarded lines have like 70 block and over 90 credit. So I have no idea what you are talking about.

this was in january and he showed me the award. are you based in dtw? if so you would know our trips this winter have been insanely overblocked. 21-22 block for 19 credit was not uncomon in dec and jan.

My God, that is horrible. Hopefully his bonus checks made up for that.

I am LGA based, which is entirely DL flying and I was awarded 94 credit last month with 74 block. You are right about DL padding the block time but when they do that our credit is always increased as well. The recent latency push has been a little frustrating though.

cant speak for the 175 but on the crj ( especially the 200) december and january are the worst and march is the best month for this scheme. The reason is DL pads the block for winter but our historical times are low in dec and by march they phase out the padding but our times are a bit higher. march or last year was the only month i have ever had where leg by leg our credit system worked in our favor. the 200 pairings tend to be worse in the winter because they dont dhd as much and they have more legs to get shorted block on.

Again, got a link to the DL statement about OO getting removed from LGA?

I suspect they've had enough of you guys attempting to do Mach .62 on the Milton 4 in attempt to get your historical block or whatever. You can do that out west over the Rockies, but that **** won't fly in the NE.

Delta is upset about that?

Delta hates arriving when scheduled while burning the least amount of their fuel?

I bet that Delta hates the seniorVP of latency. Those on-time departures dropped quickly with compliance. Good work everyone. Your cooperation is mandatory.
