We’ve been trying to get this out of her also, if you look back about 4 months you’ll find many threads asking these very same questions.

She very mysterious!

Good luck, maybe you can break her. :D

Thanks for the link and your intelligent reply. I'll use that to make sure my next paycheck from Great Lakes is calculated correctly.

No, I am not rich.

No, I do not "get off" on living in complete poverty while flying 8 legs a day.

The reason this thread is pointless is that there is no "one size fits all" regional. You can go on and on about how great brand x regional is, but in the end, it might not have the bases that suit me, it might not have the corporate culture/strategy that suits me, it might not have the upgrade possibility that suits me...the list could go on and on.

I do "get off" on spending as little time as humanly possible at the regionals before moving on to the majors, living in a desirable base (for me, of course), sharpening my stick and rudder abilities, and flying with what may very well be the most closely knit (and perhaps crazy) pilot group in the U.S.

Congratulations.

As you said we all have different point of views, for me there was never any sense in flying to the same 6 or 7 airports, cold in the winter, hot in the summer, while making $15 an hour, just so I can gain six months on my upgrade. Nice to have a close knit group, but friends don't pay your bills. Whatever works for you chief, the way things are right now, it doesn't matter where you are, it takes about the same amount of time to get to a major.

ghilis101 04-26-2007 12:30 PM

so do you get to change your top 5 regionals whenever you want like the T-Mobile "Fave 5" ?

No retreat. It just doesn't matter. I fail to see any constructive correlation between what I think are the best airlines (regional/national/legacy, etc.) and how that would affect your thinking and your attitudes about what I think in general.

That goes the same for me telling you what planes I fly and have flown since this has is no bearing on my expressed opinions.
