If they tried to run just from hubs as stated, the majors would run routes at a severe loss until Disney Air collapsed under their own weight. Newsflash: having buses and running an airline are not the same thing.

Disney can afford to fly at a loss.
I think they make their $ at the park and hotel.

It’s always amazed me that price dumping is illegal in just about every other industry but it’s just business as usual in the airline biz. I guess the right politicians just haven’t been paid off.

Disney is bigger than the 3 majors.

I’d imagine that the merchandising is their real bread and butter. A 25 cent Chinese made trinket with Mickey or a Star Wars character painted on it sells for $10 or $20 and they sell millions of little trinkets everyday.

Imagine looking in cockpit and seeing Disney characters at the controls. Kids would love it

Not necessarily. Moxy is going to cater to smaller towns and avoid hubs. LGA, LAX, etc.. are all major hubs

I wonder if they could re-open the Disney airport and then make it so only a Disney owned airline could land there...

More likely, it'd be welcome to Walt Disney-Sanford International Airport...
