Don’t waste your time. The “non-flow” guys are completely illogical when it comes to the benefit of the flow.

The idea that a major job will eventually fall into everyone’s lap is wrong. It’s insurance and not perfect but definitely valuable

I'm not a huge supporter of the flow nor do I cheerlead for AA, but the numbers are against the Joe Schmoe if he really wants those AA wings.


From the numbers that I’ve seen, of the roughly 500 new hires that AA had in the first half of 2019, about 45% were OTS.

Of those, less than 15% had a civilian only background.

Of those, I know of at least 2-3 that were hired from PSA outside the flow. No idea what the numbers are like from the other WO’d carriers.

But that will change quickly in the next few years because math.

Unless you are speaking to those with experience of the flip side i.e. flowbacks and furloughs during the dark ages.
