XJT question I've asked before......

In previous posts the thread has spun off in some strange, unforeseeable direction that left me scratching my head.

Here's the deal (as you may know from other posts) I have good times, and money is no real object (PLEASE READ PRIOR POSTS BEFORE FLAMING!!), what I am interested in is the QOL and upgrade times at XJT.

Thanks in advance.

Here's a link to answer you questions about me brought up by the above statements.

To help answer the question, do you live in a current XJET base? Just trying to understand why you might be targeting XJT vs. some other companies. I agree with what some of the other guys said, getting on with a major may be tough. Will have more to do with who you know, even with your quals.

Right now, thats the key word, XJET has about a 2 year upgrade. QOL here is what I would say is good.

I don't think the fractional route would be bad either, especially if you live in one that has a geteway where you live.

Upgrade idle at 2 years give or take a month, potentially coming down to 20 months down the line. QOL is great, but I can only speak as someone that lives on base. About 12 days off guaranteed, even on reserve. Starting pay is about $23, second year $33. Currently guys are holding relieve lines withing two months, which means little time spent on reserve. ONT and SAT are the junior bases. Great trips, average 2-3 legs per day, and average trip value is 21hours. Hope this helps.

i held weekends off throughout my stint on reserve, got flown 85 hrs a month because i wanted to fly that much for extra pay, make good money on perdiem every month, and the company is cool and your treated like a professional.... QOL is pretty good. I live around newark so it worked well. so far i have been averaging 85+ hours a month but only flying 75ish actual and with about 500 bucks a month per diem its close to 30 g's in a year. so the pay isnt great but its not as bad as people make it out to be. i have been getting 13-14 days off a month (12 guaranteed and 1 or two from not being used on reserve). cant complain. from what friends who got hired at eagle and mesa tell me i have it pretty good.
