Where do you guys put your headset?
I was wondering to those people who use their own hedset where you fit them in your flight case? I'm in the erj and have a pair of bose x that absolutely do not fit in the flight case with all of my manuals/jepps. I was thinking of just keeping them in my roller. What are you guys doing? Thanks

Couldn't resist, sorry.
I got a Telex 850 when I first started for that very reason you described.

some people take their GOM/FOM whatever you call it, and pack that in their suitcase. that makes room for the headset in your flight case. of course make sure your manuals are still accessible in the flight deck, but that shouldnt be a problem if you have bag storage up front in there. id much rather keep the headset in the flight case than the roller because your less likely to damage it since you might ocassionally check your bag and forget to take your headset out

you shouldn't have much luck putting your GOM in your overnite bag, as there's no cockpit storage for your bags on the ERJ.
Haven't had a problem fitting my headset into my flight bag, but all i carry in it are my GOM, SOP, Jepps, couple magazines to read, and TOLD cards, flashlight in one side pocket along w/ camera, airway charts on the other side pocket, jeep revisions to be completed in the front pocket, along with chewing gum, and the Capt paperwork incase he forgets some. But i'm not using a flight case, just my old flight bag, which is the appropriate size to fit in the ERJ side shelf.
