Aviate is not a United CJO, where are you getting that from?

that’s the pipe dream they’re selling; however i have only met one person who was accepted and he is a long time captain.

I was accepted and will work hard to make it through but nothing in the letter has the words. Conditional Job Offer. They are pretty clear no promises and you have be reliable and not fail 3 121 check rides. Reasonable. As always keep options open.

You are correct. They are careful not to include “CJO” in the language. I’m sure it’s to keep them out of hot water if they decide to scrap the program later even if you meet all of their requirements. Call it what you will. I don’t care. Just so we are using approved language, what should we call it from here forward? Preferably something that can be abbreviated. I’ll entertain whatever you decide.

To the original poster, I tried to figure this all out a year ago and though I had it figured with a west coast commute, short reserve and equipment - then my choice has a change in contracts (CP) so now reserve is a big snowglobe of unknowns for when I get through training. Well what is known is there will be a lot of reserve.

This is one thing that won’t change anytime soon at XJT. We have 30 airplanes parked in need of crews. As fast as we can get pilots through training there is a spot for them. We do need a few reserves, but tome on reserve will be very short for at least the next year or two.

JSX. Vegas base, reserve is split evenly regardless of seniority. Plan maybe 2-4 days a month, either at home with 2 hour callout or at the FBO. Fly the rest of the time.
