Also you have a chance to get the CJO with United on the front end. You can prep for your interview and get that done while on reserve. Worked for me. From CFI to right seat at United in 2.5 years won’t be half bad! |

I was accepted and will work hard to make it through but nothing in the letter has the words. Conditional Job Offer. They are pretty clear no promises and you have be reliable and not fail 3 121 check rides. Reasonable. As always keep options open.

Just go to the part 135 operator in Vegas that all the Compass dudes are going to. Fly some, do your reserve at home, and most importantly, DRIVE to work! Whether it’s to a line or reserve, commuting sucks.
I’ll humbly accept your thanks at a later time 😃 To the original poster, I tried to figure this all out a year ago and though I had it figured with a west coast commute, short reserve and equipment - then my choice has a change in contracts (CP) so now reserve is a big snowglobe of unknowns for when I get through training. Well what is known is there will be a lot of reserve. |
