Just get your glasses and go for your medical and they will put the “must wear corrective lenses” on your medical. It won’t be an issue.

That's it.

For near vision you don't actually have to wear them while flying, it will say "must possess corrective lenses" so having some cheaters in your bag is typically good enough.

Some FOM's require you to carry a spare set, but it's probably a good idea regardless. I typically get a nice set to wear and a cheap set for the backup.

If you know you'll need them better to just go get them before your AME visit. You'll need to read 20/20 to be issued a 1C (with or without glasses).
