Default Eagle New Prop Aircraft?

I read that the President of Eagle said they are looking into new Turboprob A/C? Any idea what exactly? Any rumors?

I talked with an ATR FO, and he said that BAe offered to make/design an ATR-800 series exclusively for AE. They were also looking at Q400's.

There ya go...

If I had a nickel for every rumor I've heard since I came to Eagle, I'd have enough to buy a plane myself.

Believe it when you see it, until then it's about as likely as the 25 CRJs the pilots of those aircraft will tell you are on short order. It's all a crapshoot.

After we get the 25 CRJs they are returning all the E135/140s to Embraer in a 2:1 exchange for E190s for the RDU base that will be open by then.

The CRJs they were supposed to have in '96?

And they're reopening RDU?

Before things get too out of hand, my post was completely made up. There is no truth to any additional CRJs coming on property either!

Especially when posted on a free forum by an anonamous poster!

No new airplanes (jets or props) until mainline has a new contract. Bet the house on that one.
