We have been doing it for years. A small percentage of hub/hub is allowed on express carriers

There's part of me that wouldn't be surprised - we've had some interesting departures within TSA management recently, but it's nothing terribly surprising on the whole, given the current job market. So I'm not holding my breath.

Either way, if it happens I tend to agree with Rick's assessment that pilots are coming with airframes.

I did IAD - ORD a few times last year at ZW. I agree that we’ll see consolidation solely for pilots over the next couple of years.

I looked on the United schedule for March and it only had mainline aircraft on that route. Seems like if they were going to do an RJ, they’d at least send a dual class plane.
