PHX...Should I consider Mesa?

Currently building hours to regional time, probably will make the jump late summer 2020. Currently live in PHX, enjoy it here, and would like to stay. Willing to commute if necessary. Clean flying record, no checkride failures, and consider myself a well-rounded employable type.

Open to any of the Big 3 down the road, but Delta is first choice. Should I consider Mesa for my regional time? Or, a go to someplace like Endeavor. I am a hard worker, and am willing to fly a lot, and it seems there is a lot of flying there. Or is this a future career killer.

Open to any and all input. TIA!

Have you ever been in a Turkish prison?

You should consider moving east.

What about JetSuiteX? They have a new PHX base. Check them out on the 135 forum. They operate as a public charter with scheduled flights using E135s.

It’ll take months to hold phx with mesa but it’s probably your best bet.

Personally I would commute to LAX, SFO, DEN, or SLC before working mesa. Speaking from personal experience.

OO has a Phx and TUS base

Just curious, why not SkyWest?

I would look at Skywest and even JetSuiteX (honestly if they had been in their current position a year ago, I would have thought very long and hard about applying there). You won't get PHX right off the bat at Skywest or at Mesa, but even at skywest the time is coming down. I got PHX about 6 months after my checkride (after watching it slowly drop historically from 2 years, to 18 months, to about a year). Some people even junior to me got in during that same vacancy bid.

Could you expand on this... could PM if that’s better. I’m researching my choices as I prepare to retire from military. I see this kind of statement often, but would like to know why you feel that way.
