Lets practice reading comprehension. The point is they were on the seniority list with every other RAH pilot. Which would you rather have...one seniority list with one contract....or two seniority lists with only one of them having a contract allowing the company to pit the two against each other.

LOL. good one!
Just to tie in what has already been said in response to my previous post.
First, as has been mentioned, PCL has every incentive to merge the companies later. Economies of scale dictate that this is just a matter of time before they start merging operations. However, pilot groups is a different thing. They have every reason to NOT merge the seniority lists as this allows them to use the Colgan work rules and pay to leverage lower rules and pay in all PCL negotiations.
Now, where Colgan guys are at risk is if a seniority merger is agreed to and Colgan is NOT ALPA, they get stapled, plain and simple. However, if they're both ALPA groups, they're protected under ALPA's list merging rules. Once Colgan is represented by ALPA, ALPA has no reason or incentive to screw them over. That would only cause them bad press and NO chance for ever organizing any other regionals. Besides, they're part of the group then, you don't screw yourself (although some wish this were possible)!
Colgan has everything to gain by organizing and nothing to lose. $15/month after taxes out of your paycheck is a joke compared to what you gain in increased work rules, legal representation, etc.
Vote yes to ALPA guys!
