Needless to say, I’ll be getting the vaccine from now on.

Wife has been a nurse for many years, required to get the shot every year. She got a viral infection last mo, a strain the shot didn’t provide immunity from. She was so sick, worst i’ve ever seen. Our family physician asked me to come in to be checked after 5 days. Never had any symptoms. He said they were getting 20 flu cases of flu a day this season, and everyone who had the shot was getting sick from their family members. The spouses w not getting shot breezed through the season. 37 year old male last time I was down w the flu i was knee high to a duck. I’m not special, just partied hard in dive bars which I’m convinced provided immunity from all funk. “give me milk, in a dirty glass Steve” Movie Quote.

Say, if I get infected with CV while going to/fro or while at work, does that qualify as an OJI or long term med out? Askin for a friend....

To/from is your responsibility.

If you an make the case that you got it AT work, that might be OJI and I doubt the company would fight it.

If you get quarantined due to the on-the-job exposure, sounds like you're on the clock for MDG.

If you leave on a trip and get quarantined before you get back, then you should still be on the clock until you get back to base. It's better than not getting paid... unless you work for an airline without min day, in which case it's not.

My contract has weasel language about some sections not applying during pandemics.

I got my answer this week from MGMT. The short answer is yes, we would be compensated to a degree, so CE our commutes to/fro work are paid by the company.
