But go ahead and keep screaming the sky is falling. Meanwhile you, myself, our 2500 other pilots, all of our FAs and everyone we have sent home that was in the training process keeps collecting a paycheck at one of the best positioned regionals to weather out this time. |

everyone sent home from training is still getting paid?
People seem to forget we had nearly 350 pilots that were sent home for extended periods of time between Aug 2018-Feb 2019 due to training backlogs. Those people had training footprints around 6 months long for a training footprint that only lasts 2-2.5 months going straight through and they were paid full MMG while they were out traveling the world and “studying”. |
We were just told at Endeavor that the situation has changed again and out April schedules have been cut even more to the tune of 70% reduction in flying and 80 aircraft parked so I’d say probably May we will get furloughed if Daddy D doesn’t just desire to the D.G. to end us all now. But I suppose they have to have someone to pit the other two regionals they have against to drop the price.

I had both of my trips this week cancelled. Flow board shows the same level of cancels you'd usually only see during a major, major weather event. And the spookiest thing is the silence. I live under the downwind leg of OAK Rwy 30 and in the afternoons it's usually a solid parade of SWA aircraft on arrival. So far this evening I've heard two.

Everyone that was on the seniority list, yes as far as I’m aware, otherwise it would be a furlough. ATP/CTP people would be the only ones that are not being paid because they are not employees until day 1 of Indoc. ATP/CTP is unpaid at Republic.

What's your take on the 3 or 4 classes sent home and pay frozen at 60/day stipend until further notice? Bills can't be paid on that. The bailout states that pay cannot be reduced or involuntary furloughs can't happen. Shouldn't those classes reach MMG when they hit day 30? They are still doing ETHOS, still working with Slack instructors. Just curious.
Personally, I would say you should get MMG once you hit 30 days just as everyone who had training delays did. Since this new MOU came out yesterday, my opinion is anyone that did not hit 30 days prior to being sent home should be placed on the new SVB leave option which pays 50hrs a month. |
