I'm really glad to see the other operators stepping up. Even Alaska Air has kinda been like screw you Ravn.
Yeah that’s what my friend said, too. All I gotta say is I feel bad for the pilots and FAs, with quite a few whom I consider friends. Eff that management however.

Another failed airline in Pflieger's wake.

In reference to Ace, from an "acquaintance"
The reason I ask... My uncle's son (my cousin) flies cargo for that airline in AK. There are 20 captains at the company and they are being pressured by the boss to start hauling passengers. They have refused. His company refuses to pay anybody who gets sick.

Ravn Air, the small intra-state airline, closed down completely. That leaves lots of small citys without mail and pax service.

My uncle saw that notice about how they're cleaning the planes and sent it to his son. The son said it is news to him - none of that is happening.

You can imagine hauling passengers in rural AK now. If someone gets sick, they want to get closer to a hospital. At least that's what I'd want to do.

This sucks, I know a pilot there who left my airline for a Captain job at Ravn, was so happy to be back in AK and now this. Hope a better operator fills the void and hires the employees.

That seems like a bad plan, but it wouldn’t surprise me. Looks like other air carriers have been doing a good job picking up the slack. Alaska Airlines will even start service to Bristol Bay early.

It will be interesting to see Alaska go back to the smaller operators. I hear some of the tour operators are thinking about getting into the scheduled passenger business.
