New SKW EMB pilot

Its not too bad up front, I'd wear your ANR's just to avoid damage due to prolonged exposure. The normal DC's should work fine though. My 2 cents. I wear my finally paid off Bose. I plan on buying some of those ear muffs you use when target shooting for when I do my walk arounds. normal ear plugs suck.

The bro will make you a better pilot. it will also make you appreciate the next airplane you fly more than you can imagine. it's not a "fun" airplane to fly...but it will challenge you. start doing some squat thrusts to get the right leg strong enough for the amazing amount of rudder that hog requires.
the schedules will build character, especially out in the california system. having said that, 8 legs a day thru cali ain't so bad, just ask those guys who do it out of say Bos, CLE, PIT, CLT, etc. whether they would trade places in a heartbeat.

You're the only pilot that I know of who has said the Bro is not a fun a/c to fly.
I loved my time on the Bro, yes it's a switch b1tch but you're more of a pilot on the Bro than the CRJ. I'm now on the RJ and I enjoy it but the Bro's a great a/c that deserves respect.

Have fun with the EMB-120 - I just got out of the 145 and start class on the CRJ with SKW on Monday...I've done many SIX leg days in the Jet. Tiring - a resounding YES, but a LOT of fun. There's nothing like the up and down and HAND FLYING.
You're gonna Love it!
